Our machine-learning-powered software can turn this complex gas data into comprehensive information agronomic experts can use. Our sensor will allow users to see what effect their interventions and land management practices are having on their soils’ health in minutes and weeks rather than the current months and years. This will result in minimal expenditure on ineffective methods for improving soil health and maximised crop yields. A soil sample is inserted into our handheld sensor, which uses a single-use test strip to detect the gases given off by it. The device connects via Bluetooth to a user’s smartphone, from which a suite of software packages can be used to analyse the data within 5 minutes.
